The second engine is capable of towing up to 20,000 pounds and with the fifth wheel/gooseneck, up to 23,300 pounds. Each engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and the choice of rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
What are the available special editions?
The Silverado comes with multiple options. Each trim comes with a multitude of bed/box configurations. The WT can be regular, double or crew cab and long or standard box. The LT is offered in regular, double or crew cab and long or standard box. The LTZ has the choice of double or crew cab and long or standard box. Finally, the High Country is offered in crew cab with the choice of long or standard box. Many special editions are also offered to the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The Silverado HD Custom is available to the WT trim. The Midnight Edition is offered on the LT and LTZ trims and brings with it black 18-inch wheels, off-road tires, and black Chevy bowtie emblems. The Custom Sport Edition is available on the LT and LTZ with 20-inch aluminum wheels, chrome bodyside molding, and a spray in bed liner. The Z71 package can be added to the LT or LTZ models. The All Star Edition is available only to the LT model. Finally, the Alaskan Edition is available on the WT and the LT and can add smoked amber roof marker lights and a beacon, a spray-in bed liner, 18-inch black aluminum tires, and a snow plow prep package.
